Getting around safely
Until they can run the legs off you, your little cherub needs some form of wheeled carriage. But which of the
bewildering array of styles and manufacturers best suits you ?
What do you really need?
Most definitely a car seat if you
drive or need to be driven.
A pram - what style do
you choose, consider your lifestyle and where you
live, the size of car that you have (small cars and
prams etc are not always compatable).
If you walk alot and have other
small children consider attaching ride on boards for
them .
How many wheels do you need on the
pram?
A
great way of transporting your baby is to have a pushchair and
matching group 0 (from birth to 9 months)
car seat. The great advantage of this system means that you can take your sleeping
/small baby from the car and clip the car seat on to the pushchair.
Lastly, before you purchase, make sure that the car seat will fit your car and that it installs easily and safely!
Remember the weight that you are lifting and also how you have to lift it into your car!ever fit an
infant carrier car seat ( i.e. rear facing) in your front passenger seat, if there is an airbag
installe d, as it is potentially lethal for your
child
Never fit an
infant carrier car seat ( i.e. rear facing) in your front passenger
s
eat, if there is an airbag installed, as it is potentially lethal for
you
