Medicine Cupboard

Every house should have a “Medicine Chest” or"Medicine Cupboard" and with a baby or small child there are a few basic medicines that no home should be without.

But besure that:

  • All medicines should be kept in a lockable place out of the reach of those tiny hands!
  • All instructions should be strictly adhered to and not used beyond their ‘use by’ date.

The Essentials should include the following:

  • Infant paracetamol - liquid or suppository form  (brings down temperatures and as a general pain reliever).
  • Medicine spoon, dropper or syringe
  • A first aid kit (assorted plasters and antiseptic cream, disinfectant and cotton wool)
  • Thermometer
  • Decongestant / inhalants for snuffly noses
  • nappy rash cream
  • Teething gel
  • insect sting spray
  • colic drops
  • sun block
