Animals & kids
There is no denying that the two go together. In my own house the dogs name
was the first word my daughter spoke! He sensed the age or ability of each child
and new which one should have known better so growled at that one and moved away
from the other one! Even with my nieces and nephews the dog was the protector
and out blackberry picking he always had them in sight and came back for the
slow ones !
Once you, as a parent are ready to take on looking after whatever animal you
decide on or your kids beat you into submission about, the reward to any family
is 100%+ . Disabled kids respond to any animal in ways you would never believe,
from stimulating their senses - through touch and feel, their speech in talking
repetitivly to the animal, relaxing with a furry soft warm creature to stroke -
there are so many positives on this one !!
Always think over your choice of animal and your lifestyle - who will look
after it if you are away ? Can you bring it with you etc? |
